Top Premier League Stories Come to a Head For Must-See Weekend Action

Derbies and new coaches will set English football on fire.

With the action of the international soccer break, it was a long wait for the return of the Premier League, but as the old saying goes: "the good things come to those who wait".

The best league in the world returns this weekend, with some great games that we will be analyzing here. We would also like to highlight the debuts of coaches Graham Potter (Chelsea) and Roberto De Zerbi (Brighton) in the English championship.

Arsenal vs. Tottenham

A single point separates Tottenham (3rd) from Arsenal (1st) in the London derby at the Emirates Stadium. This match cannot fail, because we are talking about two of the best teams in the tournament.

Arsenal are having their best start to the season in years, as it seems that the additions of names like Gabriel Jesus and William Saliba have brought important defensive and offensive aspects to the team.

The Gunners have won six of seven games in the tournament and have conceded only seven goals.

Everything indicates that Mikel Arteta will have everything at his disposal for this match, although there is a doubt that Thomas Partey will be able to play in midfield. If the Ghanaian is not on the pitch, the Spanish coach will have to decide whether to set up a trio of Xhaka, Odegaard, and Vieira, or to bring in Lokonga as a natural replacement.

Antonio Conte has one of the best attacking trios in the world with Richarlison, Son, and Kane, who will no doubt be looking to steal the show in London.

The Spurs have few doubts as to the team that may take the field this Saturday, with Llenglet and Sanchez battling for a central defender's spot in the usual three-man backline.

Graham Potter makes his Chelsea debut in the PL

This will be Chelsea's first match without Thomas Tuchel in the Premier League for a long time, and it will be Graham Potter's debut as "blue" manager this Saturday. The new manager is coming off a 1-1 draw against RB Salzburg in the Champions League.

Chelsea will face Crystal Palace, a team currently 17th in the table. This is a good opportunity for Potter to get his first win with the club and build momentum.

Although Chelsea are still dealing with major injuries, such as goalkeeper Mendy and World Cup winner N'Golo Kanté, Potter will have a good team at his disposal and will continue to rely on his classic 3-4-3 formation, with Mount, Aubameyang and Sterling in attack.

Manchester City vs. Manchester United

Unlike the last Manchester derbies, where it was known that City were going to crush United comfortably, this time we will have a game where we may see the Red Devils stand up to them.

Ten Hag has already found his ideal team with Varane and Martinez in defense, Eriksen alongside Casemiro or McTominay in midfield and a dizzying attack made up of Antony, Sancho and Rashford. The real question is whether this team will be able to trouble a City side that looks unstoppable.

Guardiola's side continue to destroy any opponent that comes their way, scoring 23 goals in just seven Premier League games. If Erling Haaland is still in God mode after scoring 11 goals so far in his first season in England, United won't have much to do this Sunday.

Cristiano Ronaldo will probably start the game from the bench, although if he gets a chance to play and be decisive against a giant like City, the Portuguese will be leaving behind the worst start to a season of his professional career.
