"Every expert, from MMA to boxing, has said Jake Paul won't fight Anderson Silva. They said Jake Paul is afraid of Anderson Silva, and Jake Paul would lose to Anderson Silva. Well, to all the non-believers: Jake Paul is fighting Anderson Silva."

Jake Paul seeks to earn respect

The YouTuber has yet to face a fighter with a positive record, and Anderson Silva will undoubtedly be his toughest test to date. The Brazilian is bigger than Paul in terms of height and reach, and he is also naturally heavier. All this without adding the fact that Anderson Silva has significant experience.

Although Anderson Silva, 47, is in the final stages of his career, he continues to prove that he is a natural fighter after dominating former world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and humiliating Tito Ortiz in the ring.

Jake Paul has faced basketball players, youtubers, and wrestlers. Anderson Silva will be the first real striker he will face in the ring.

"It is an honor to be in there with the legendary Anderson Silva," Jake Paul stated on Twitter. "Although I'm going to knock him out under five rounds."

It wouldn't be a big deal for Jake Paul, at the height of his youth and fitness, to defeat a 47-year old "old man", however, when it comes to a 'GOAT' like Anderson Silva, things change. Everyone dreams of having 'The Spider' on their winning record.

Silva to represent MMA and receive a well-deserved purse

After former champions Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley lost by KO to Jake Paul, MMA fans were jokingly saying "well, we'll just have to call out Anderson Silva" as a worthy representative of the sport who could teach the youtuber a lesson. Well, the time has come.

Anderson Silva has extensive experience in combat sports, and that's no secret. In fact, he is considered the best MMA fighter of all time by the writer of this article. His reflexes and counterattacking styles gave the impression that "The Spider" watched fights in slow motion. Despite being almost 50 years old, the Brazilian continues to prove that he is still in fighting condition.

Silva made his professional boxing debut in Brazil in 1998. Since then, he has a pro record of 4-1. His last fight was an exhibition against Brazilian Bruno Machado in Abu Dhabi, held in May of this year.

With this fight, Anderson Silva will finally receive a purse worthy of a legendary career. In the UFC, "The Spider" never earned more than $600K to show in the octagon, even in his prime as champion, where he successfully defended the belt 10 times to set the record for longest individual reign in history.

Considering that Tyron Woodley earned $2 million in his first bout against Paul, according to the Ohio State Athletic Commission, this would be a great opportunity for the Brazilian to finally get a good payday.
