So, That Super Halftime Show Looks Like It's Going to Be Amazing

Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show is going to be fire according to new trailer featuring Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar.

You’re going to be stuffing your face with Buffalo wings, chips, and whatever else you can find on Super Bowl Sunday. You may as well stuff your earholes with a buffet of nostalgia while you’re at it.

The NFL on Thursday released a teaser of the upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show, and it’s filled with Hip-Hop legends.

From Eminem writing lyrics with his younger self to Dr. Dre walking along a melody-kissed L.A. beach, this represents the most promise a halftime show has had in recent memory.

Normally shrugged off as either an afterthought or a reason for armchair criticism, the annual event is one of the most-watched and most talked-about moments of the year.

In a world dominated by instant gratification, TikToks and Wordle, the Super Bowl show remains a singular moment when a nation will be watching one thing simultaneously.

Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, and the aforementioned Eminem and Dr. Dre have the firepower to make this one of the best halftime soirees in the history of the game.

The above video, entitled “The Call,” was directed by “Straight Outta Compton’s” F. Gary Gray. The director had high hopes heading into the project.

“Each time I collaborate with Dre, it seems to mark an important moment in entertainment history, from projects like Friday, Set It Off, Straight Outta Compton, to now the Pepsi Super Bowl LVI halftime show,” Gray said in a statement, via Pitchfork. “As a super fan, I consider it an honor and privilege to authentically build and create this moment with five of the most legendary artists in music history. It’s been a blast!”

The Super Bowl kicks off on Feb. 13. You can catch the Halftime Show around the time you are going for thirds on those wings.
