The world loves a very big man riding in a very small horse carriage.
Fortunately, it’s something that happens with surprising regularity as Nikola Jokic, a big man, reminded the world that he loves two things, horses and collecting NBA MVP Awards.
And he just did both.
Jokic is back home in Serbia, which is where he likes to unwind and ride around old school with his closest beast of burden.
This is hardly the first time the world peeped Jokic’s stable. It also happened around the same time last year, when he was photographed after again falling short in the NBA Playoffs (h/t For the Win).
For those interested in a deeper equine dive, The Athletic’s Nick Kosmider once profiled the NBA star and his passion.
“I was probably 12 or 13 when I got into it (racing)— around there,” Jokic told The Athletic at the time. “My dad took me to a horse race in our city. We went to the race and I said, ‘I kinda like this…And I just fell in love with the horses.”
The best part of the story is that we can finally kill the Joel Embiid was robbed narratives and get on with our lives.
