The "Creed" film series has been a breath of fresh air, taking over the "Rocky" film franchise. Michael B Jordan's performance in the character of Adonis Creed, the son of Apollo Creed, has been a perfect and natural change of the guard from the Rocky Balboa character.

The trailer just dropped and it looks fire.
A first look at the film was posted on Twitter, including a photo of Jonathan Majors as the antagonist, along with a release date of March 23rd, 2023.
"You Can't Run...From Your Past"
Naturally, seeing a black actor on the other side of the boxing ring has fans wondering whether this is going to be the son of Clubber Lang. While we cannot say for sure that this is not the case, it seems too simple for a series that has been good at keeping the films fresh. Also returning to the cast is Tessa Thompson, and Phylicia Rashad, with Michael B Jordan in his directorial debut.
Also starring (or being featured) in the film is Mexican boxing star, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez." Alvarez has been expanding his cultural portfolio lately, including hinting at attempting to be a professional golfer once his boxing career is over. Foraying into a Hollywood film about boxing is an obvious progression.
Good writing can make anything fresh and the Creed series has hit the mark on that level, much less the star-studded cast. This series has a history of putting real boxers in the ring with the actors and putting in (arguably) one of the biggest boxing stars in the world on the silver screen only gives it more weight. Michael B Jordan is an incredible star and gives this role so much life.
